A Volkswagen ID.4 has traveled more than 56,000 miles on U.S. roads. So many people have never traveled by electric car within the borders of a single country.
Long-distance car travel specialist Rainer Zietlow and his partner, photographer Derek Collins, covered more than 56,000 kilometers with a Volkswagen ID.4 electric crossover. The huge distance was rolled into the car in less than 100 days, which in itself would have been a nice performance. They, in turn, did all this within the U.S., breaking the world record for the distance traveled by electric car within a country.
The record attempt, by the way, was actually a promotional roadshow in which the pair visited all Volkswagen dealerships in the continental U.S. (628 in number).
