You can have thousands of horsepower

Seven liters, eight cylinders, one compressor, 1290 Nm, 1,000 horsepower: the Mopar workshop belonging to the Fiat-Chrysler Group once again impressed the world. After the introduction of a 707-hp engine last year, this year they dropped the magic thousand levels, and they also built a car around the miracle block.

The bonnet is also new, more precisely, the fiberglass deck applied to the steel frame of the series cover; the latches were caught, the first triangular windows were replaced by a glass pane, and the style of the seventies was fitted with mirrors, as a transition. The 1968 Dodge Super Charger Concept builds on the foundations of the Dodge Charger fifty years ago, creating a timeless look using modern styling elements.

For example, the headlamps had to go, but they made a stylish compromise: the lamps were blocked behind the grid, but there was no moving element, the light illuminated behind the lamellae. The most spectacular detail is the exhaust / tail light combo: the tailpipes of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio have been installed in place of the lamp; Of course, reconstruction was not so easy; the installers had to put a good 5 cents in the wheelbase to fit the modern Charger wheel arch extensions. The fifty-year-old car's chassis was seated in front and back, and the weak brakes were replaced by huge Brembo units. At the front, the Challenger SRT Hellcat Series has 20-inch wheels fitted with 21-inch rims at the rear.
