Porsche made a final air-cooled 911 Turbo, which is not kept. The gold-colored miracle will be harvested in late October.
Porsche celebrates its seventeenth birthday, and on this occasion countless good-humored boys dumped the audience. They organized ceremonies, made a record at the Nürburgring and Le Mans triumphed the pink painted car. They do not break this beautiful, big round anniversary, so their next big bet is a Porsche 911 Turbo, it would not be a big deal in itself but another German company did not think of the current model.
Instead, it was the 993-generation generation that was the latest air-cooled 911 all-in-one version. It is true that its production has been completed for two decades, and it did not really make much of it, but it was a beautiful point at the end of the air-cooled era. The car called "Project Gold" was inspired by the current generation's 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series Limited Edition, and they worked with the same stylistic features. The gold color and the black interior decorated with gold come from there. The rims were first painted on gold, then the black layer was removed, and the second layer was laser removed at the required locations.
It all began with a 993 stripping down to the metal, which was then rebuilt to the smallest details of the Porsche Classic. Not only the era-based procedures but the modern technique and the excellent cavity protection of the car. Except for the color, the interior used new procedures, so the seats and the leather-sewn instrument panel were made with a carbon pad and a plaque.
A brand-new 3.6-liter six-cylinder box engine with two turbochargers achieves 450 horsepower and flares up to 100 gold in less than 4 seconds. Like the engine, the suspension and all-wheel drive are all new. Project Gold will not be a museum object, the biggest investor in the auction at RM Sotheby's will be able to take home the special 993 Turbo at the auction at the end of October. It is also difficult to get the amount involved.
