When Bentley announced the construction of a hair-spotted, working replica of the 1929 Bentley Blower in a limited edition, they made no joke. The first car is finished, looks brilliant, and will soon be handed over to its owner.

Sir Henry Birkin, a British golden man, was a legendary car racer of the twenties of the Maltese century: he was not hungry for the ultimate victory, but fired by his love of motorsport - and eventually a burn injury in a car fire led to his death.
Behind his name is the concept of the Bentley Blower with compressor: he was convinced that with a loaded car he could beat everyone. He was partly right, as the Blower was the absolute fastest car of his age, yet he didn’t win a race, partly because it was as heavy as a tank and partly because his awful performance was at the expense of reliability.
However, this could not stand in the way of Bentley Blower’s legend either, so when Bentley decided to bring the heroic age to life in a limited ten years ago, it was clear that Blower would be brought back into the ranks of the living.
This series, designed for twelve pieces, has now been realized: the very first customer car has been completed, with naturally up-to-date upholstery, in the color of the Blower model that formed the basis. The veteran in question was the second of the four Blowers; the factory-owned car to this day is not only ready for use, but is also run weekly. The green bodywork is paired with white wheels, white leather trim and a black canvas roof.
