According to the data of Nemzeti Útdíjfizetési Szolgáltató Zrt. deadline as well.
NÚSZ's announcement to MTI on Wednesday warns that many are leaving to buy their new annual road use rights at the last minute, with the number of annual national and county sticker purchases around 200,000 in the last two days of January.
The number of annual national and county motorway sticker purchases valid for this year is approaching one million, so far roughly 300,000-year-old national and more than 700,000 county vignettes have been purchased, said Tamás Bartal, CEO of NÚSZ Zrt. He added that this also means that 65 per cent of the annual vignette sold for last year has not yet been taken over by road users.
January 31 is also an important deadline for the renewal of exemptions and reductions related to tolls: the application for these must be submitted to the traffic administration authority (district office, government window) or to the Deputy State Secretariat for Keeping Records of the Ministry of the Interior.
The exemption applies, for example, to vehicles such as those operated by domestic law enforcement or authorized to use a distinctive sign.
The discount applies to large families and people with reduced mobility, who can use the toll road network by purchasing a D1 toll sticker with their D2 car. In connection with the partial exemption, the deadline of 31 January applies to large families, while in the case of persons with reduced mobility it is not necessary to renew the application annually, as their entitlement expires upon revocation or deregistration of the disabled parking card.
To purchase a motorway sticker, the service provider recommends its own website, ematrica.nemrijosutdij.hu, which is also optimized for mobile phones. Here, the vignette can be obtained free of charge and the proof of purchase does not have to be kept for two years after the sticker expires.
