László Kőszegi was elected secretary general by the board of the Hungarian Leasing Association, the organization informed MTI on Wednesday.
According to the announcement, the new leader took over the duties of general secretary from Zoltán Tóth. According to the announcement, László Kőszegi has 20 years of leasing experience and extensive management experience, and he worked as a member of the board in the interest representation until now. They added that, according to the general secretary, they must react flexibly to changes, because global challenges do not escape the leasing industry either, but they have solutions to bridge crises.
László Kőszegi welcomed the fact that leasing could be included in state initiatives, such as the growth loan program of the central bank or the programs of the Széchenyi Card, the announcement states.
He highlighted sustainability initiatives from their own activities, emphasizing that the leasing companies themselves can also help if they support the purchase of electric cars or their longer usability by financing renovations.
The general secretary promised to develop internet guides for educational institutions and businesses, and also called it important to strengthen international relations.
According to László Kőszegi, leasing products that are even less well-known in Hungary are becoming more and more popular in other countries, so they should also have a place in the interest representation, just like professionals belonging to the younger generation. The approach to the leasing profession must also change, since today the acquisition of property is not a prerequisite, but the use or achievement of goals is the main expectation.
The 36 member companies of the Hungarian Leasing Association finance the cars, properties, and assets of almost half a million individuals and 200,000 businesses worth more than HUF 1,300 billion, according to their website.
