For Tesla to conquer the world, it needed neither automotive traditions, nor high quality, nor pleasing design: it was enough to offer something that no one else. In fact, it is shocking why it took (or still takes) so long for automakers with all of the above parameters to respond to the challenge of the American brand.
In any case, Audi can say of itself that it has taken action, quite firmly. The newly unveiled e-tron GT is aimed at electric car enthusiasts who don’t believe in recreational vehicles (if they believe they have the e-tron and e-tron sportback there), yet still want a large-format emission-free car.
The format in this case is unquestionable: the 499 cm long, 196 cm wide, just 141 cm high Audi e-tron GT (the Audi A7 Sportback is 17 mm higher!) Is a street-stray Manga car. We wouldn't be surprised if it looked and changed on the fly.
Overemphasized shoulders, organic shapes, unexpected breaks draw your silhouette, both elegant and aggressive, futuristic and primitive. The changes are minimal compared to the 2018 format study, the medium resistance coefficient of 0.24 is excellent, if not exceptional.
Compared to the huge dimensions, the boot is particularly modest at 405 liters - and even worse for the RS e-tron GT model, where we only find 366 liters of space in the rear, the rest is occupied by Bang & Olufsen’s top-of-the-line subwoofer. An additional 85 liter cavity in the nose awaits the smaller packages.
