The Audi Q5 Sportback is a slap-down, less practical version of the well-known model: we could do the same with Audi's latest model. The rookie following in the footsteps of the Q3 Sportback and Q4 Sportback studies, of course, has serious pros (and cons), so it’s worth dipping into the details.
The Q5 Sportback, which hit the market a year later, has a more dynamic, combative nose, the side window surface is markedly backwards, and the small triangular window behind the rear side door is definitely narrowing. At the rear, digital OLED lamps work with customer-defined programming - so a unique lighting design can be a new tool for customization.
The 469 cm Q5 Sportback is only 0.7 cm longer than a normal crossover, the height and width are the same, but the drag coefficient is more favorable (0.30.)
In the passenger compartment you will already find the updated infotainment system, which is completely broken with the scroll wheel and can only be controlled by touch.
The boot is 510/1480 liters (Audi Q5: 520/1520), the 4: 2: 4 split rear bench can be moved longitudinally (option), so you can take up to 570 liters of packs.
There will be three engines initially: the two-liter diesel and petrol engines will have 204 horsepower. The nose of the top model SQ5 Sportback is powered by the well-known 347-horsepower V6 diesel engine. Later, it will also be a plug-in hybrid, with two performance levels.
