It is more worthwhile to travel in the capital by public transport than by car - the capital transport company (BKK) pointed out in its statement on Wednesday in connection with the government's abolition of the fuel price cap.
The price of the most popular BKK tickets and passes has not changed since 2013 - reminded the Budapest transport company.
After the government's decision, public transport has undoubtedly become more competitive than driving - wrote the BKK, adding that while the monthly pass costs HUF 9,500 and you can travel with it for a month, you can travel about 200 kilometers with the same amount of money, with average consumption to do in a car in an urban environment.
The company also drew attention to the fact that the more people switch to public transport, the more the capital's carbon dioxide burden can be reduced.
The noise level will also decrease, thereby making urban life more sustainable and Budapest a more livable place - they wrote.
