This year, the section of Pest's lower wharf between Margit Bridge and Közraktár Street will be opened for the last time to pedestrians, bicycles or scooters on Saturday and Sunday - the Budapest Transport Center (BKK) informed MTI on Friday.
From Saturday dawn to Sunday 11 p.m., it is forbidden to enter Pest's lower wharf by car, they said.
On Saturdays and Sundays, buses 105 and 178 travel to Gyöngyösi utca via Petőfi Sándor utca, they do not stop at Eötvös tér and József palátin tér, but bus 15 and 115 stop at Erzsébet square stop.
Due to the SPAR Budapest Marathon on October 8-9, and then the short weekend, this Saturday-Sunday is the last time this year when city residents can use the popular quay section.
This weekend is the fifteenth this year when the wharf is open to those who want to exercise.
