The hydrogen-fueled leisure car will be the first to be seen in motion at the Munich Motor Show.
We recently had the good fortune to try out the Honda Clarity Fuelcell, the Toyota Mirai and the Hyundai Nexo, which are mass-produced fuel cell cars. These cars are powered by the same electric motor as electric cars, but are not powered by heavy and slowly rechargeable batteries, but by high-pressure hydrogen that can be refueled in minutes - with reverse water decomposition.
And recently, BMW also came up with a similarly operating vehicle, the i Hydrogen NEXT, unveiled at the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, which has now reappeared on the scene in an improved version.
The near-final prototype of the model now known as the BMW iX5 Hydrogen will first be on the move at the Munich Motor Show in September.
