In January, Rinspeed presents his new work. The concept and name are almost the same as last year - they obviously see fantasy in modular, autonomous electric cars.
A car for family trips, one for city trekking, a third for business purposes: people buy cars completely unnecessarily, because we can only use one at a time, and the rest of us have money in the others.
According to Rinspeed, the future is for modular cars: a common, self-propelled floor (called "skateboard") can be fitted with superstructures for different purposes. An important element of the idea is that the two sides can be exchanged separately: if the passenger compartment is worn or we want more performance, it is enough to replace half the car and the other can stay. Already last year they introduced their ideas to the world and now they have shrunk and made the concept more personal.
The novelty of microSNAP is the system that automatically connects the chassis to the superstructure. In addition, it has a digital license plate, glare-free lighting from micro-LED elements, environment-friendly lights, electrochromically dimmable side windows, an iris-reader security system, and a 49-inch, curved display in the passenger compartment for information and entertainment.
