These American Left look back on an almost eight decade of history, and although they are now available in a fashion traveler, the real Jeep is still about the hard, real terrain.
World War II movies can hardly exist without the tiny American military off-road, which passes through all the obstacles ahead, and starts to flick at any time and never deteriorates. This Willys MB , which came to light in 1941, came under the name Jeep , a Hungarian jeep, and created a new category.
Few people know that Jeep is the name of the "General Purpose" (generic) abbreviation, the "jeep", and the oldest all-terrain vehicle in the world. And even fewer people are aware of where the Jeep's iconic seven-week cooler comes from. Well, since the original Willys Jeep was the first vehicle to be deployed on six continents during World War II.
Such an old military Jeep also appeared at the Hungarian press event, where we were lucky to get acquainted with the three latest models of the American manufacturer.
Wrangler
From Jeep's modern offer, the Wrangler is clearly the closest to the original spirit of the ancient Jeep. This product line debuted in 1986 with the YJ series, and in 2018, the latest, fourth generation, the JL series came out.
The brand-new Wrangler has roared itself far from being an unmatched American off-road vehicle, so designers have modified the design with the same care, as Porsche has always been changing its tone on the exterior of the 911 sports car. The new model is perhaps the easiest to recognize from its LED lamps, and the windscreen has been tilted slightly better than before.
The 2-door design is 4.24 meters apart, with a 4-door, 4.79-meter long, 2.46 and 3.01-meter wheelbase. The common feature is the chassis design, the Wrangler is a true, old-fashioned off-road vehicle. The short-lived challenges of the short traversing test in the Buda Mountains, with a grin on the face of the American technique, the advanced all-wheel drive, the electronically self-locking differential, and the halves were just turned on and off.
The free height is over 25 centimeters, the front and rear angles are 36.4 and 30.8 degrees respectively. The top of the Rubicon's top model is an active stabilizer that can be switched off to a speed of 30 km / h, thanks to which the spring path of the front wheels increases by 25 percent.
