A transport robot developed by the Technical University of Catalonia and the CARNET Mobility Research Center will soon be tested at the county seat in Hajdúság.
The development, which is also supported by the Logismile project of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, has been going on since 2018. The goal is to create a small robot that may be responsible for the final stage of product delivery in the future.
The device called ADD is planned to be tested in 2022 in Esplugues de Llobregat, Hamburg and Debrecen, Spain, dehir.hu reported.
The robot, including the freight tank, is 1.1 meters wide, one meter high and 1.7 meters long. It rolls on six wheels at speeds of up to 20 km / h and can drive on stairs.
CARNET was founded by the Technical University of Catalonia in 2014 with the VW Group and SEAT, and since then thirteen more companies have joined the collaboration.
