The previous rumor has been confirmed: the MINI is already working to make its electric model worthy of the John Cooper Works label.
The MINI didn’t pull itself off the electrification either: the pure electric MINI came after the hybrid version of the Countryman crossover connector, and the big throw doesn't seem to be missed either: they're already working on the electric MINI JCW (John Cooper Works) model.
In all cases, the JCW marks the sportiest version of a given MINI, assuming serious engine and chassis tuning. The details are not yet known, but factory spy photos make it clear that development is already in an advanced state.
What’s more, even more: while the images clearly show an electric car (no exhaust, the radiator grille is covered), the aerodynamic elements and custom wheels are not about the sleek John Cooper Works, but about its even more brutal relative, the JWC GP. come from.
The company has not revealed when it will present the series-ready version, but looking at the pictures, this could happen soon, even in the spring of 2021.
