After making a special edition of its high-end coupe from the LC, which promises the experience of flying - and partly thanks to its special aerodynamic details - the Lexus entry-level sports model has also been subjected to special treatment. The Lexus RC Emotional Ash owes its unique atmosphere to the ash inserts marked in its name.
The Emotional Ash edition is in many ways a Japanese domestic version of the Black Line design already unveiled in North America. Its spindle-shaped grille, exterior mirrors, and exhaust end have been given an equally high-gloss black finish; Its 19-inch wheels and sports stitches sewn with silver stitches (also all black) also come from the F Sport model version.
We left the point to the end: the window of the window knobs, the instrument panel trim inserts and the upper arch of the steering wheel were made of open-pore ash wood. The special texture, which is characteristic of strong-veined wood, is treated with a special “Honjo” silver paint: it almost shines when illuminated, making the unique, natural surface even more contrasting.
