The 308 is being modernized

Two new alloy wheels and a three-layer Vertigo blue paint finish will be added to the Peugeot 308 in the 2020 model year. Also an aesthetic additive is the black optical package, which replaces the chrome elements (grille, fog lamp frame, window sill, combi roof rail, etc.) with high-gloss black.

Like its new-generation counterparts (208, 2008), the 308 gets a digital i-Cockpit dashboard with a 10-inch digital instrument panel and a glossy black central touch screen. The latter is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatible, the navigation system uses a 3D map and can also provide real-time traffic updates.

Peugeot has expanded the 308 driver support functions: active adaptive cruise control up to 30 km / h (or in the case of automatic transmission), 180-degree reversing camera and parking robot, automatic emergency braking system that detects pedestrians and cyclists even at night, speed limit and one-way a street sign recognition system, steering blind spot monitoring, and a host of additional features have been added to the palette.

There is nothing new in the driveline, just a modernization: the 1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine delivers 110 or 130 horsepower. The diesels are 1.5 liters, four-cylinder, and have 100 or 130 horsepower. Both 130-horsepower engines are available with an eight-speed automatic. The top version is still the 263-horsepower, 1.6-liter Peugeot 308 GTi, which, however, is not available in all markets.

Extra content is added to each of the three equipment levels, and a multimedia unit with digital radio, dual-zone air conditioning and reversing radar are now standard in all cases.
