From now on, more than 70,000 users can buy BKK line tickets as well as tickets for 30- and 90-minute journeys in the K&H+ application, K&H announced. Mobile transport tickets have already been popular in the app: a total of 130,000 purchases were made. The step is also important from a sustainability point of view, on the one hand you can buy paperless mobile tickets, and on the other hand, public transport is more environmentally friendly than driving a car.
A new chapter has opened in the capital's public transport, as the Budapest Transport Center has introduced 30- and 90-minute time-based tickets, which were not available until now. K&H has also stepped in, BKK's time-based tickets and regular line tickets are now available in the K&H+ application, the company announced. The move could give new impetus to online ticket buyers, who have been doing well so far.
130 thousand times
The bank's application currently has more than 70,000 registered users, who have bought a mobile transport ticket a total of 130,000 times since the fall of 2020 for travel in one of the 90 cities and between settlements - i.e. between localities. Buying tickets via the app is convenient and fast, as you don't have to stand in line anywhere for the ticket, and it's completely safe. The online ticket will always be in your phone, so you don't have to worry about the tickets when the inspector comes for a trip with multiple transfers.
It is also important from the point of view of sustainability, which is prioritized by K&H, that it is possible to buy a transport ticket online. On the one hand, it contributes to a more paperless environment, and on the other hand, the environmental impact of public transport is inherently lower than, for example, driving a car. "The introduction of BKK tickets fits well with the innovative developments of the company so far, the aim of which is to make as many services as possible beyond banking available in the K&H+ application, in addition to the solutions provided by banks and insurance companies," said András Árva, the K&H residential segment marketing manager.
The specialist also said that the services that have been introduced so far, which are also available on smartphones, such as personal loan applications, smartphone payments, including Apple Pay, Garmin Pay and Google Pay, the possibility of taking out insurance, as well as solutions that will appear in the future they form the basis of a digital ecosystem that provides customers with convenient and fast administration and banking. In addition, according to the experience of K&H and the parent bank, KBC, interest in innovative, digital services among their customers is constantly growing.
