TIM: ZalaZONE is also strengthening its battery business with a German partner

The association explains in its announcement: the center will be established next to the ZalaZONE vehicle industry test track in Zalaegerszeg, and is expected to start operating in the summer of 2024. TÜV Rheinland, one of the world's leading quality assurance testing, inspection and certification providers, is contributing to the expansion of battery production and development capabilities in Hungary by expanding its activities for the analysis of energy storage systems and battery testing.

The announcement quotes the Minister of Technology and Industry, László Palkovics, who said: "the government prioritizes the battery economy in its industrial development efforts. A constantly expanding innovation ecosystem is being built in the environment of the ZalaZONE vehicle industry test track with the cooperation of universities, research institutes and companies. TIM aims to ensure that by the beginning of the next decade, all German premium car manufacturers with factories in Hungary will use the facility's services.
