The Chinese Zeekr has launched its Zeekr 01 sports combo, which was introduced half a year ago. If your physique is familiar, it is no accident.
Volvo's parent company, Geely, is maximizing synergies within the group. Here, for example, is the new Zeekr, which will produce its models exclusively for the Chinese market, which are only semi-self-developed: just look at the nose of their first car, the 01, to recognize the identity of the sister brand Lynk & Co, the shooting brake (i.e. sports combi) tail however, it is completely unique, at least for now.
The two electric motors of the ZEEKR 001 deliver a total of 400 kW (544 hp) with a maximum system torque of 768 Nm. The car accelerates to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds, from where it stops at less than 34.5 meters - the latter being good for everyday cars.
The car's battery has a capacity of 100 kWh and can be charged from 10% to 80% in 30 minutes with a quick charger. In connection with the market launch, the company will also install 360 kW lightning chargers in various major Chinese cities.
By the way, the Zeekr 001 doesn't really draw attention to itself with its driving performance, but with its special self-developing production line. The robots in the highly automated plant communicate with each other and their control system over a 5G + network. The welding process is monitored by cameras, ultrasonic radars and other sensors, for example. Based on the data collected in this way, the factory is able to continuously innovate and continuously improve welding.
