EnduroGP and rally show at the weekend in Zala

The II. Regarding the ZEG Rally Show and EnduroGP programs, Tamás Őry, managing director of the organizer TRP Hungary, said: both the competitors and the spectators were satisfied with the rally show organized for the first time last year, and the city administration also welcomed the initiative at the time. This is also the reason for the continuation, and the fact that in this year's race, the distance of last year's 38 kilometers was increased to 60 kilometers, and two speed stages were placed outside the city. Compared to last year's 50 competitors, this time 60 will start. Part of the EnduroGP world championship race takes place in Bocföld, which is adjacent to Zalaegerszeg, on a race track designated there.

He added that in exchange for the traffic disruptions, they can hopefully offer a unique experience this weekend.
László Lázár, the communications director of the Hungarian Auto-Motorsport and Green Mobility Development Agency (HUMDA), spoke about the fact that after a year and a half of preparation, the HUMDA academy was launched this year, where the car and motorcycle racers of the future are trained. At the same time, the organizers also focus on traffic safety, which is a priority task if only because 540 people die on Hungarian roads every year, and the European Union expects that by 2030 the number of people who die in road accidents will be halved everywhere. To achieve this, HUMDA tries to contribute by shaping attitudes, training in driving techniques and spreading knowledge in schools.

László Vigh, the region's parliamentary representative and ministerial commissioner, reminded that the 265-hectare vehicle industry test track for traditional, electric and self-driving vehicles is being built in Zalaegerszeg. This facility attracts investors as the "Silicon Valley of the vehicle industry", and not only the ground vehicles, but also the aviation industry has noticed the possibilities, since a drone research center is also being built, and the aerospace industry is also interested in the area.
Tibor Vadvári, deputy mayor of Zalaegerszeg, said: patience is requested from the locals due to the expected traffic difficulties, but the rally show was a great success and is expected to be the same this year. In addition, the organizers also undertook a charitable goal, with the income from the entry fees supporting the renovation of local kindergartens and the purchase of equipment.

Sándor Bakos, the mayor of Bocfölde, added that he hopes the motorcycle race will not be a unique occasion in the settlement. Among the hills of Göcse, a race course has been created, which is expected to be a sufficient challenge for the competitors and a spectacular experience for the spectators.
