RV from Lada?

It is usually customary to build a motorhome from vans and minibuses, but why not do the same with a car - provided its structure can withstand the superstructure?

The German Lux Form drew a surprisingly demanding structure on the foundations of Lada 4 × 4 (maiden name Lada Niva). More precisely, not this, but the Lada Bronto with its high ground clearance, chunky off-road tires and efficient belly armor, but we suspect that an average Niva would also serve the purpose. Mainly because only the powertrain and the front row of seats remained from the car, the rest was sacrificed on the altar of the conversion.

The half-cut Niva was fitted with a 226-centimeter box that hung another 99 centimeters above the cab at the front. The whole vehicle thus looks 4.93 meters long, but still terribly comfortable inside: the narrow bed in the alcove can be converted into a male double bed (158 x 198 cm) by sacrificing the kitchen and dining room, in addition to the gas trunk we also get a refrigerator and a shower. A toilet block has also been set up.

We wouldn’t call the car spacious at all (the interior height is only 156 cm, for example), the more functional it is, plus the combination of the 87-horsepower petrol engine, the two lockable differentials and the bisector really takes us wherever we want to go. All this costs 40 thousand euros, ie roughly 14 million forints - if we catch up with the average 4 × 4 as a basic vehicle instead of the hot Lada Bronto, the whole thing can get away with it even cheaper.
