The information provided by the company was already encouraging at the beginning of the summer, but according to the latest information, the company also managed to outperform its previous performance.

The history of the story is briefly that, although approximately 420,000 pre-orders have been received since the launch of the Tesla Model 3, the company was unable to meet customers' needs. Production has been constantly experiencing smaller or larger problems and could not reach the target of 5,000 per week. This was not only a prestige issue, but also a financial one: in order for Tesla not to continue to invest investors' money, it had to reach the weekly number of 5,000 units in production.

Early in the summer, news reported that 5031 Model 3 and 1913 Model S and X had been made in the last seven days of the second quarter, and plans said that in August, more than 6,000 Model 3 models would leave the factory. According to Electrek's report, this has now been achieved.

In the third quarter of 2018 - almost exactly until September 28th - it produced about 51,000 Model 3s, which exceeds the previously set limit of 50,000. And since the company produced a total of about 77,400 electric cars in the said period, it is already 6700 cars / week. Not only is this a remarkable achievement for Tesla, it is also a matter of the EV market. According to the report, Chevrolet produces a total of 2,000 electric cars a month from the two major rivals, while the Nissan leaves 7,300 Leaf on the production line - also monthly.
